Hemorrhagic Cysts:These cysts occur when bleeding occurs within a cyst, leading to the formation of a hemorrhagic or blood-filled cyst.



Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS):It is caused by hormonal imbalance and results in multiple small cysts on the ovaries.



What is the management of ovarian cyst ?

Treatment depends upon type and size of cyst as well as women’s presenting complaints. But not all cysts require treatment as usually these are not causing cancer of ovary. Sometimes medicines in the form of hormonal pills for 3-6 months are given while surgery is done for larger and persistent cysts.
